Use this scale to calibrate your display. Set your display to sRGB, usually found in the color temperature menu. If this option is not availabe, set brightness and contrast so the leftmost square appears white and the rightmost square is as black as the background. Black should not appear gray. There should be visible difference between each square, a stepped gradient from white to black.

Ideally, also set the color profile on your display adapter to sRGB colorspace. Allow display to warm up for at least 15 minutes before performing calibration and do so in a dimly lit room. This procedure will optimize the appearance not only of my photos, but will give an accurate representation of all images on your display.
